Thumbs up ok lets try this...

'97 150 4x4 4.6 L - are the exhaust manifolds bolted on or are they studs and nuts? and what size if known, and lastly does anyone know if ARP makes studs or bolts for use w/ factory manifolds? the issue is that the donut from manifold to y pipe needs replaced, and i thought i might think about tackling the manifold bolts/studs before they fail as ive read in other posts. thanks.

didnt have a donut on my 97 2wheel drive when i put headers on it. they are attached by studs with nuts on my 97 4.6. The manifold has a lip that fits inside the y pipe so no gasket is needed. Might be different on a 4x4. i dont know
