Magnaflow Dual Side Exit (SVT Lightning Style)
Magnaflow Dual Side Exit (SVT Lightning Style)
Anyone know if Magnaflow has a dual side exit (or will be making one) that is behind the rear tire?? I saw one for the HD F150, but not the current model... I kinda like the gibson sport set-up, but am going for Magnaflow... I just think that the twin tips are a bonus.
I imagine they will come out with one when the new Harley edition F150 comes out. I just installed the current one on my truck this weekend and am very happy with it. I converted from a single in to a dual in to get the Harley exhaust to work. It sounds immensely better than my Gibson Supertruck I had on.
No, the supercharger doesn't make a difference. The difference is that the Harley edition is true dual, not a single in-dual out. So for a little extra work, you can replace the pipes between the aft O2 sensor and the stock muffler as well and get yourself true duals. That's what I did to mine this weekend. By the way, I have a King Ranch edition that had a single-in y-pipe exhaust stock. I do have a supercharger on mine, but that doesn't make the difference. The difference is dual vs. single inputs. As long as it's for the same body style (mine is the heritage body style BTW), it will work with your truck (albeit with some minor modifications that a trip to Autozone should cure). That's all it took for me.
BTW, the one on Troyer's site you noticed is the split rear exit duals for the new body style. They don't make the dual side exit Lightning style BEHIND the rear tires for the new body style yet, just for the old supercrew (Harley style). I don't know what difference in fitment there would be, but I am guessing it would be considerable.
