Well my Dealer was really nice to me & said they would do it for $100.00. They admitted that the studs were junk & Ford should have used stainless or a bigger stud. I said what if more studs break off or if the manifold is warped & needs replaced. The guy said he was only going to charge me $100.00. I'm one happy cust at this point. Truck goes in next Tuesday for repair.

Beardoge, thanks for the run down. I think that's the route I'll go when I finally do it. One side at a time.

Did you replace all the studs with new ones?

Mitch

Mitch it's really not as bad as it seems just take your time and you should be able to do it.

Of course replace all the studs I used bolts not studs I think they work alot better!

I did not replace the studs that hold the Y pipe to the manifold they were pretty clean, just replaced the nuts.

When I did mine I had a 3 year old helping me, like taking all of my tools and walking away with them, you know leaving them in the grass out in the driveway spraying them with the garden hose......on an on.. phone ringing all day buddies stopping over to drink beer, wife yibber yabbing. It seems to slow down the process a little..

Tip : Tell everyone to get the hell away from you when you do this!
