Like 100's of you out there I have an exhaust leak due to my manifold bolts being the sides of toothpicks. The shop wants 2k to fix it, 10-12 hours of labor 75 an hr, plus parts. What I want to know is will I save money by installing headers? Not sure if they will have to replace the manifold itself but....I was wondering if headers would replace any of my rusted mess? And if so what are good quality headers? I figured I would call Summit.

 

I cant answer your question, but if its going to cost that much to fix it, how much will a head cost? Have you checked a salvage yard?
