Hey Kung, it's the IMCO extreme. I believe you have 2.5 inch stock piping so you're going to want SI/SO 2.5 inch.

By the way, you can probably make 30-40 selling the Flowmaster used (I sold it to my cousin for 30 bucks) so you'll make the cost of the IMCO back, at least.

Go to IMCO's website: www.grabthepower.com. They have several F150 clips, and they sound almost exactly like my truck. A very accurate representation.

What amazes me is that the 4.6L IMCO clip sounds BETTER than any of the others. I know....I listened to them.

Kung, I agree! Although, shame on me, I would like to hear it on a Hemi in person. That would be insane. I'd also like to hear it on an older Dodge 5.9L. Those are some of the best sounding trucks on the road in my opinion. Now mine sounds better though!

yeah, I've always loved the sound of the dodge trucks, especially the ones from just a few years ago. Some of the dakota's even used to sound pretty mean too. All the dodge's have that super mean growl to them. I'm glad that now we can enjoy that kind of sound too on our fords.

I am about to get the IMCO, where can you find them for cheap? I have heard performance-curve but there is nothing when I find it. No picture or anything so I dont know. Does anyone know any other places? I am about to replace my Borla with the IMCO.

I told the guy I like a deep and loud exhaust and that I've had flowmaster 40 before and I want one on my '04 f150. He said the original 40 was louder than the super 40, and that the super 40 didn't sound good on these new f150's. Then I asked him if the original 40 was good and loud enough, and he goes 'ah, it's not too awful loud.' He quoted me $200 for a SI/DO original 40 system (no tips), which I think is pretty good. But then he said it would be $240 for the super 40 system, which is a bit too much more for that muffler. What do you guys think? I think if I were to buy my muffler and tips cheaper elsewhere, that they would ream me on the install price if I went back up there to have it installed and welded, and it would be more expensive that way possibly.

Also, I asked him about IMCO mufflers, and he said that 'they run too hot on these trucks.' ....whatever that means??? I've never heard that before, not sure what he means. I had just read in these forums that they flow better than flowmaster and have a good clean sound like flowmaster, plus the sound clips online. What's all your opinions? I'm going to double post this in 2004-05 forum too and get some response there.
That sounds like BULL****! Did the guy get under the truck and feel the heat of the muffler? It there a gage that measures muffler temp? He probably said that because he does sell IMCO mufflers.
