Dual Cherry Bombs, safe to use?

I used to run a dual cherry bomb system on my '97 F-150 4.6L and loved the sound. I'm a couple weeks from taking delivery of my '05 5.4L and was curious if these cherry bomb systems are safe to use. I only had the '97 for a year with the cherry bomb, but I plan to hang onto this new truck for a while.

My main concern is if they do not allow enough backflow for the system. I plan to also install an AF1 intake and Tuner. Are these safe over time?

I had my first set installed at an exhaust store, so I don't know the specs on them. All I recall is that it was installed as a true dual system. The reason for my concern is the lack of backflow from a non-baffled system, and what long term effects it would have on the engine. I've heard of these problems with straight pipes, but don't know if they still exist with cherry bombs or glass packs.
