Whats the difference?!?!

Is there any difference between installing a Ravin Z55 that is SI/DO from installing a Ravin Z55 SI/SO and then splitting it with a Y pipe? Does it effect horsepower, backpressure, etc. Thanks for any help.

I am thinking yes, there is a difference.

I am going to guess that a muffler with 2 2-2.5" outlets will allow more exhaust flow than a single 2-3" outlet.

As far as how it will affect performance, i have no idea. I have installed si/do on my last three trucks and have been happy with the results.

Good luck.

Sorry, Saint, I don't agree.

You will still be limited by the size of the entry into the muffler.

I think it's a wash. Perhaps some small difference in sound but not in impact on performance.

Cheers

Which one do you think would be louder? SI/SO or SI/DO. Thanks.
