Question About the true dual 40 series

I have a 5.4L with the muffler cut off, just to be loud until i get a system put on. Supposively true dual 40 series is supposed to be loud (which i want) but cant find any set-ups like that online. Do i actually have to go to an exhaust shop and tell the guy to make a true dual for me with the 40 series. If you can...please leave me some sites with the true dual 40 series flowmaster. Also what are a good set of headers to install with that setup? thanks.

if u want a true dual ur best bet is going to a muffler shop pre made dual exhaust kits are generaly non true duals and are way to damn expensive. i paid 220 for my true dual set up and that included him putting in an H pipe. but i went with IMCO mufflers over a flowmaster.. while yes flowmasters are loud performance isnt good IMCO flows very well for being a chambered muffler sounds similar to flowmaster but isnt as loud and highway drone is minimal

With the multi-cat setup on these trucks, you have to get really loud mufflers to get much sound output. Typical pre-engineered kits are not true dual, except Spintech. A "short" straight through design muffler with a "small" case that holds little sound deadening material will increase sound. 1 muffler will be louder than 2 mufflers. Dynomax makes 2 types of mufflers like this: a 6" round by 16" long case Ultra Flow Welded and a 4" round by 12" long case Race Bullet. If you want to go all out and you're working with the Harley truck, this is the powerful, loud setup:
