F150 XLT '02: Smell gas/oil & 12mpg
F150 XLT '02: Smell gas/oil & 12mpg
I recently bought (private) a '02 F150 XLT, 4.6 V8, 50,000 miles. Two weeks after purchase, the service engine soon light went on. It went on, off, on again (a few days apiece). I took it to AutoZone three different times, and the codes read each time were:
P0175 (System Too Rich, Bank 2)
P0172 (System Too Rich, Bank 1)
P0401
P0402
What do you think is the problem? How do I fix it? I bought a Haynes manual and I'll see if it helps me; I'll have free time after mid-May. Meanwhile, if it's something easy, I definitely don't wanna take a 3-54mpg penalty, that's too costly.
I will certainly check the answers here but as an extra safeguard, if you could also mail them to absolutsunfire (at) yahoo.com, it'd be that much more reliability of me getting it. Either way, I'll read them here, so just tell me if you know what this might be.
