exhaust run out the side????

I was wondering if anyone has run their exhaust right in front of the rear tire on the passenger side? I have a 2003 F150 with 4.6L and was thinking about looking into it. Pics would be nice, plus maybe a muffler company that carries a kit for this particualr application. Thank you.

Some people have the Gibson SuperTruck and like it. I'm sure there are picture in the galleries if no one pops in.

you could pay a muffler shop to do one for you and use whatever muffler you want for the same $ or less

Is that a manual 5 speed with your 5.4L?? I didn't think that made a manual with the 5.4 or 5.8 litres.

Darren,

Yes it is. Ford didn't offer the 5.4 with a stick. It started life as a 4.6 but last year I stuffed a 5.4 in it.

I never could figure out how Ford can put a 6 speed in an F250 or 350 and can't put a 5 speed in a 5.8 or 5.4L. Either way, that's one AWESOME TURCK you got. I'd pay some major cash for that. I looked for two years just to find one like I have now, with the 4.6L and 5 speed.

What brand muffler did you use? A single inlet/dual outlet or dual inlet/dual outlet? I like the tips. Did you get those from the muffler guy? Thanks people.

i have true dual straight pipes runnin out the side and i love it.the exhaust goes right in people's faces so i get to **** anybody off that gets in my way.i did mine myself but i had a si/do flowmaster on it that i had put on by a local shop and it cost me $150 for the muffler, install and 18"x3.5" tips.its usually alot cheaper to have a muffler shop install a muffler for you and then you get to tell them exactly how you want it,rather than buying a kit

The aluminum rim on my right rear is starting to be much duller than the others. coincidence?

I'll be changing mine to rear exit soon.

I use to work at a muffler shop and build custom exhaust systems. For something like that I would charge about $120 if you supplied the muffler and $150 with tips (cheap A$$ tips) or $250-$270 for everything and Flowmaster 40 Series. Which is a fairly good price. That would be and a good day and if you didn't look like a sucker. I'd get some people to pay $350 and make them think they were getting a good deal!! If I were you I'd supply the tips. Buy some good stainless steel tips and take them in with you, these kind of things are what custom shops make all there money on.
