Magna flow install question

I had the Magna Flow cat back put on today. I have a Supercrew SB F150. I noticed that the pipe infront of the muffler tied into the straight pipe a foot or so from the 2 pipe jct off the manifold. I thought the new pipe was to go all the way to the split. Does it tie into the stock straight pipe that far back from the split. Could he have ordered the standard cab pipe by mistake.
thanks

How close to the muffler is the Y-Pipe?

Y-pipe is used to join two pipes into one. It should be installed as far forward as possible.

Does the system fit? If so, you probably got the right system.
