Question odd idle after exhaust install

after installing a new exhaust (gibson supertruck), I developed a buzzing (almost a small motor sound) through my air intake. I recently ported the TB and it ran fine all the way until I installed the exhaust and now it randomly does it as I slow to a stop. A quick tap of the gas pedal to the 1800 RPM range eliminates the higher idle and obnoxious sound. sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't. additionally, where is my IAC located on a 97 5.4? it isn't above the TPS like most pics I've seen. Any suggestinos would be appreciated.

Okay, just found the IAC (back of TB turn down pipe). Removed it, cleaned it w/ TB & brake cleaner(better evaporation) and re-installed. SO far, SO good. Will keep you posted

Thumbs up IAC

Yeah man, all of these IAC posts convinced me to try cleaning it and sure enough, I cleaned it like mentioned above and so far, so good. It wasn't really all that dirty, and the plunger moved rather freely, but I cleaned it regardless, worked the plunger and touched it with a tiny bit of WD-40 (upon the suggestion of on of the posts) and it has been running great. Another thing though, was just for peace of mind, I put safety or "emergency" tape on the PCV elbow that plugs in right behind my IAC (97), so it could have been either. Best of luck
