take the mufflers off:P u can take all 4 cats off and replace with 2 high flow ones... u wont get TOO much louder. i have the 40 series on my truck si/do but i hear the muffler is bestsounding compared to loudness

Ok, I am a novice. What does the SI/DO mean? I just had the catback Flowmater 40 installed. Has a nice mellow tone, not loud, but I like it.

one pipe in to the muffler and two coming out. thats where teh duals are made. instead of a y pipe the muffler IS the y pipe... if you take all 4 off i think you will have too much flow and lose more power then its worth... it will make it louder but i would go with the magnaflow cats or on my old gmc i bought to oversized CATCO converters off ebay for like 70 shipping to my door. since you just have a cat back setup i would go with true duals (run two pipes from the engine all the way back instead of the set up u have now which is 2 pipes to one then back out to 2. just make it 2 all the way down and im sure it will be loud enough for you then

flowmaster is one of the loudest out there... if you went to no muffler it may be louder or even take the muffler off and put a glass pack and y pipe it in to duals... thats my gf's dads truck has and its pretty loud but also drones the cab

IMO i like the muffler sound better then glass ... glass are more raspy and just crap. some will disagee but if i were you i would go to a muffler shop get 2 highflow converters on and run 2 pipes in to (2) 40 series mufs

you can make it true dual and it will be cheaper cuz u can use the flowmaster piping that is a dual exit
