Help! Mufflers

I have flowmasters on my trucks and it started to crack right where the pipe meets the beginning of the muffler. Well the whole thing cracked through and the muffler and the pipe are seperate from each other. Although it sounds very nice I noticed that it robbed alot of torque and power from my truck. Its not anything like it used to be. I bought some glasspacks for the truck, cuz i want i even louder, but I wondering if glasspacks are goin to fix the problem of make it worse. I was thinking the backpressure was messing with the torque and thats the problem. So if I put on the new mufflers will it gimme me back my damn torque? HElP?? please
