I need some advice on a Magnaflow exhaust system that I just bought off of ebay. I bought part number 15834, SIDO rear exit, listed for a 2004 F150. The question I have is whether this system will fit on my 05 F150 FX4 Scab that I ordered (truck is due to arrive at the dealer any day now). When I purchased the exhaust I thought that the 04s and 05s were all the same, so I figured the exhaust would fit right on. Now I see that they list a different system for 04 1/2 - 05 f150's on Magnaflow's web site. Now I am afraid that the system will not work on my truck. Does anyone know the difference in the exhaust of an 04 to an 05? Help, please!!??!!

try the magnaflow website and do a cross reference with both part numbers if not try to contact them directly

 

What wheel base is your 2005?
Which cab, and which box?

 

Sorry to say this, but NO it will not fit...the '05s have a different bend in the stock intermediate pipe than the '04s.

Does anyone remember the thread that was made that shows actual picture differences with the '04 stock intermediate pipe and the '05 intermediate pipe? I couldn't find it, I'm sure that would be very helpful here.

 

WHy not call Magnaflow and request to replace the intermediate pipe ?? it might save your headache..

Yes it changed the design after june or july of 04.
