Question need input

Because of my current financial situation , i am trying to find a cheap way to make my truck louder, but with somewhat of a performance sound, and still retaining as much low end as possible. What about just replacing the stock muffler with a performance one? I was thinking maybe sticking with the smaller stock pipe would retain some low end, but a high flow muffler would give it more bark. Any thoughts?

Yes, that's perfectly fine. It's a cost-effective way to increase performance and change the sound.

That’s what I did. A local muffler shop installed an aluminized Magnaflow for me. Total cost (muffler & labor) was $100 bucks and it has a lifetime replacement warranty.
