I am interested in knowing if your replacements were shown as goverment certified aftermarket parts for this application?
Reason I ask is I have a copy of the law governing this situation and just curious.

Not sure what you mean by "government certified", but they are a direct replacement if that's what you mean. My understanding is that they must be of the same quantity (4ea in my example) and they must be of the same "class/type" (OBD11 in my example).

Incidently, I had my truck re-smogged yesterday and it past with flying colors with no - meaning a big zero - registered emissions!
