sounds good, but want louder

On Monday 1/31 I had exhaust put on my 03' FX4 w/ 5.4. I had them cut off the factory muffler and y it out the back w/ 4" x 18" tips at a 45* angle. I do not have an aftermarket muffler becouse they are way to quiet. My setup soods good but not loud enough for me. There is about 4 to 5 ft. of 3" pipe between the factory y and the new y and I was wondering if it would be louder if there was only a foot or so of 3" pipe between the 2 y's. lf that would not make it any louder than I might consider getting some hi-flow cats. I dont want to mess w/ anything between the engine and the factory y unless nothing else will make it louder.

get some custom pipes done that will exit out the top of the hood get a nice fire works show going on... j/k but high flow cats will make a pretty good sound difference

so yall dont think that having about 1' of single pipe instead of 5' between the 2 y pipes will make it louder. It would be more duel pipe and less single and seems like it would less back pressure and be a little louder.
