Ready to install Gibson Cat Back...

Today, I removed the stock exhaust from the "Y" on back. In addition, I purchased the pipe directly after the "Y" from Ford. This one will probably have to be cut a little.

I'm ready to install the new system (SIDO) and I have two questions.

I want to reinstall the Damper. Does it matter where between the muffler and the "Y" pipe it should be placed? What does it do, anyway?

I have two options
1. Install it at the pipe connection at the "Y"?

2. Install it at the pipe connection that is next back towards the muffler?

There is one more connection at the muffler but, it would be a tight fit. Don't think this would be right.

Thanks for your help.
