exhaust woes
Hey,
As I posted some time back, I had planned to put a dual exhaust on my '97 F150 v6 4.2L but after reviewing my bank statements from the previous month, aparently Ravin Exhaust doesnt want my business. I recieved the confirmation email from them yet my bank was never charged and the parts never sent, nor will they return my calls/emails. Luckily, I have my two Hi-Flow Magnaflow cats, because now one of my cats is making a rattling sound (similar to a can of spray-paint) and its driving me insane. Anyone know of a different brand of muffler, besides Ravin that would sound good on my truck? Thanks

exhaust
I just put a Magnaflow on my 2004 F-150 FX4. I like it a lot. I think it sounds good without being too offensive. You have several exhaust systems to choose from. I could list them but you can read similar posts for your research. I would have nothing noteworthy to ad.
What I will comment about are your cats. I just experienced a similar problem on my VW Jetta. I had been having what seemed to be fuel problems. Basically, my car would almost stop running as if completely starved for fuel. I took all the basic troubleshooting steps and couldnt figure it out. Turns out, after several trips in to the shop, either could the dealer. In the end it was a bad ground on the ECM causing the fuel mixtures to be grossly incorrect. So, back to the cats. After all my electrical problems were repaired my cat started rattling very badly. The incorrect fuel mixtures caused a total meltdown of my cat. The internals of the cat completely melted fused together and then broke apart upon cooling.
Just thought I would share that with you.
