Any adjustments necessary?
I am planning to install a Gibson Cat Back system on my 2000 4.2L

Is there any necessary performance adjustment needed after the installation?

You're fine; the engine management system adjusts automatically to the change. Some prefer to speed the process up by resetting the computer with a battery disconnect, but it's not required.
