Has anybody heard of force flow or force-a-flow or something like that mufflers?

I went to a muffler shop by our house and the guy quoted me $155 for SIDO flowmaster muffler with turndowns, and something like $180 for the other brand in the same configuration. The force-flows are (according to him) better for performance and louder, but Ive never heard of this brand...

I asked him about magnaflows and he says he thinks they are over priced, and he also says he gets quite a few people coming back with the muffler rusting out where the baffles attach, but he can order me whatever I want to get.

So what muffler should I get? I know I want turndowns, but I dont care too much if it is SISO or SIDO, but Im not real sure about what brand to get...I know flowmasters are pretty much tried and true, Ive heard good things about magnaflow but they are more expensive, and Ive never heard of these force-flows.

I'm very happy with my Magnaflow SI/DO setup. Magnaflows don't have baffles, so that guy either doesn't know what he's talking about, or he's confused between brands (unless I have lost my mind as well). I've never heard of that brand you're talking about.

 

Yeah, I had not ever heard of them either.

I was really deciding between Flowmasters and Magnaflows (magnaflows were my top choice but either would do), and I found a place here that would install an SI/SO flowmaster with a turndown for $114, so I went with that (just got back actually) since it was about $40 cheaper than the magnaflow. He wanted $180 for the SI/DO setup though.

It sounds nice so far, but Ive heard they get louder as they break in.
