exhaust for 02 GT

know it's not a mustang board but thought that it would be ok to ask. Looking to replace mufflers only on my 02 Mustang GT. Right now all i'm considering is Flowmaster 40 Delta Flows, but heard magna flows on a GT and LOVED the sound but didn't getr a chance to talk to the guy.

what i'm wondering is if anyone can give me some info on the magna's. The one's i heard sounded similar to flow's just deeper and a bit more intimidating. Does Magnaflow make diff series like flow's? i kknow nothing about magnaflows and am loking for some feedback before i make a decison(which is right now the flows). not looking for power increase necessarily just AWESOME sound.

thanks in advance,
pat

you want awesome sound? Go with straight pipes. Cut out your factory mufflers and have straight pipe welded in. Great sound, ive heard it on a GT before, sounds awesome.
my 4.6 sounds great with straight pipes, give it a try!!

nothing to me sounds better than an mustang with original 40 series flowmasters. Ditch the delta flow cause they are a lil bit quieter. just my .02

thanks mickey. i think i am leaning more towards the 40series but keeping the delta's in mind b/c i can get them in stainless ince the rest of teh system is stainless). i listened to a sound clip on another site of the magnaflows and they didmn't sound as good as i remember(even taking into account that i was hearing them on speakers and not in person) and i can't find too many people recommending them over the flow's.

The Dynomax Ultraflows sound great on the Stangs. It's a very aggressive, throaty, muscle car sound.

flowmaster is junk! Go with mags or a stainless glasspack, or like green said go true duels

what is your basis for calling flowmaster junk, lifeguard? for one they are one of THE most popular mufflers and 2 i've had them on my truck now for over 4yrs and 60K-no probs at all. the magna's i've heard have too much of a wimpy sound compared to the flows. the one set i thought i heard(referenced in the previous post) were actually flows w/magna s/s tips. surprised the hell outta me!

buta gain i was just wondering what you were basing callling flow's junk on?

I put the Original 40 series FLowmasters on my 04 GT..it sonds really nice...in my opinion thats all that should go on there If you want more of a deeper sound than take off the cats and get an off road H pipe..that will be really loud but sounds nice.
