Question z-55 being installed anything to watch for?

I went to Midas to talk to them about the z-55 being installed on my truck. Out the door they want $121.95. That is just for a new muffler installed. No other parts to be replaced. I will be there while they do it. Anyone have any suggestions on what to look for when it is done? I mean any thing that I should be looking for to make sure it is done right.

The truck goes in this Friday for the work. I will use a noise meter from work to measure before and after results inside the cab. I will do windows open and closed at city and highway speeds. I hope this will help.

Angry

I brought the truck in today and no muffler. They had gotten the wrong one. The only thing good was that we talked about putting weights on the pipe between the cat and the muffler. This is suppose to reduce the drone in the cab. I have to look into this. GOes back next week for the work.

Tack,

I have the Z33 SI/SO and 3" both ways,
it sounds awsome,
I originally had the Z55 and it wasnt loud enough.
In fact it was almost like the stock muffler.
My recommendation would be to go with the Z33
3" flanged to your original pipes if you are
looking for a nice sound..
Good luck either way!
