WHAT A PAIN IN MY..............
OK, I've been searching, searching, searching, reading, asking anyone who will listen about what series flowmasters I should get. I think I am gonna go with the delta flow 50 series, but the question is still in the back of my head..Is it gonna be too loud? everyone on here has different opinions about the 40s and the 50s.. what about the 70 series is that too quiet??? all I am asking for is some replies to this so I can make my decision soon...

Well, its kind of hard to ask others "is it going to be too loud?". Everyone has their own tastes. If you can't hook up with someone who has a set to listen to it, you're just going to have to take the risk or not.
Flowmaster series 40's will be loud. The Delta 50's are a bit quieter, but not as quiet as the 70's. How loud are the 50's? Well, it will definately be louder then stock and you may get a "drone" at highway speeds from resonation.

dmarman,
Look under the other exhaust forum.A guy named Zach had some great input. It's titled a Flowmaster fact finding mission just for you guy's.
I'm thinking about switching to this same system & his input was a big help.
Good Luck

dmarman,
The FM50 is much quiter than the reg FM40. I had the FM40 si/so in mine and it was loud but sounded good to me. Had some noise and resonance in the cab at 65mph and that bothered the wife. I recently switched to the FM50 delta si-do and its much better noise wise. It still has the growl taking off and under load but is quiter in the cab at 65mph. You really don`t hear it inside under a steady cruise speed but still has that umph sound outside. The wife actually approved of this after riding in it. Makes the hr drives back and forth to VA every weekend much nicer now.
FALLSCREW was right about looking at the other thread. I posted there also but learned some stuff too. I just wish I had gotten the FM50 delta first and saved paying for 2 exhausts so close together. I enjoy it now though.

i don't think my f/m delta50 (on my 97, 4.6) is too loud---and i'm 62 yrs. old! notice no drone at any speed under 90mph.
