I would like to get a Flowmaster 50 series for my '97 4.6L and saw that the online store sells the Force II system for a good price. Does anyone have advice with regard to installing the 50 series Flowmaster on a '97 4.6L? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

The install goes very easy.Buy some extra clamps,the ones supplied are cheap and are not strong enough to crimp the pipes.

Thanks DG13, I appreciate it. BTW, how does the 50 sound on a 4.6? I am hoping it is throaty but not annoying at highway speeds (I'm military and I move a lot).

It sounds like a truck or muscle car.Cruising at speed it's fairly quiet but under acceleration it roars.

I have to agree with DG13 - the Force II install is pretty easy especially if you have a sawzall to remove the original pipe. The clamp crimps the oem pipe down pretty tight and takes a while to work loose without a saw.

Also, I pitched all the cheap clamps and had a muffler shop weld all the joints for $40. No squeaks, leaks, or rattles, plus it looks more sleek without clamps.
