Question Big Sound???

I purchased a 2000 Harley Edition F-150 about 2 months ago and I like the sound that the lightning muffler makes, I also like the dual chrome tips that come out at the back right rear. But I would like people to know when I roll up!!! I would like to keep the tips that are already on it but I don't really know how to make big sound! I would also like to know if messing with the exhaust would mess the value of the truck up? Any suggestions???

just take your muffler off and you will get the sound youre looking for have your local exhaust guy put i tup on the rack and cut the factory muffler off and weld in a piece of straight pipe....i would wait until my warr3enty is dead first

Unhappy

Hey thanks for the help, and actually I was thinking about doin that but there are 2 problems with that idea! One being that my muffler is a single in dual out and I don't know how I could run straght pipes with it like that. And second being that I just got the truck about 2 months ago and I got the extended warranty on it, so I don't know if I should mess with it? Thanks again!

harleyboy,
add a y-pipe in and connect to your original pipes. will be loud, and shouldn't void any warranty. i'm not sure on that, but i don't see how. good luck, Rich.

Thanks for the advice hikerrich! That's what I was thinking about doing in the first place but wasn't really sure. I'm still not real sure if I want to mess with it, but I want it LOUDER!!! Thanks again for the advice, I'll seriously consider doing that now!

Thumbs up

Add a "Y" pipe where the muffler is, and you'll love it. FM 40's are waaaay too quite, and thanks to the Magnason-Moss (sp?) law, they can't void your warrenty for this.
