Post Gibson WAV files

Does anyone have the Gibson Swept Side or Dual Sport recorded in a WAV or similar file format? I am dying to hear the installation for comparison. Please post them or email me at *************.
Thanks!

Check out the posts in Exhaust as well. You'll find several people that have installed the Swept Side recently. I just replied to a post by ELKTAGAZ asking about the Swept Side and Dual Sport comparision.

If you want loud, Swept Side isn't it. It gets you the most power and it sounds great but is fairly quiet. Dual Sport is a great mix of power and sound if sound is more important.

Just looking for a good comparison. I am not sure what I want yet. I have looked all over the message boards for these answers. I guess I am asking for the unusual. I want someone to record his or her exhaust for the benefit of all of us wondering what we actually want! Everyone has their own opinion about their exhaust and most of the time love their truck too much too say, "Oh, I wouldn't go with the x brand again". Thanks to whoever helps out here! FamilyRide, you can be the first if you wouldn't mind!

I'll see what I can do. I'm with you, I would have loved to have heard the Swept Side and Dual Sport to compare.

Believe it or not, I have recorded my exhaust. I may rerecord becasue it doesn't sound great. I did it with a cam corder sitting right at the same level as the tailpipe and between the truck and a fence. You can hear too much.

However, I'm having a heck of a time geting it into wav format. I don't remebr not getting good audio. I can play it back on the PC and it sounds great, record it and you cna't really even hear it.

I'll work on it.

Thanks FamilyRide. I'm sure you have it under control, but check your audio levels and make sure that you aren't pushing too much volume through the PC sound card. Thanks for the efforts!

Done. I fired up an old PC with a good old SB Awe 32 sound card.

The sound isn't great. I did rerecord 2 ways. ONe right next to the tailpipe so it's close to the ground picking up some engine and other noise off the concrete. The other is literaly holding the camera out the drivers door. It should give you an idea. After listening to these with the sound focused on the exhaust, I've realized it makes it sound a little louder than it really is. My wife drove it today for the first time so I got the here her drive away. It sounded good as I could hear it, but if you weren't listening for it, you may not even notice.

These are a little big. Each one is at least 32 seconds long so be patient or I hope you have cable or DSL.
