You need a crossover in there somewhere. It helps with scavenging, and backpressure.

Hey man...according to Flowmaster, and the shop in Cali. http://www.exhaustpro.com ...it doesn't need it. Dunno why, but maybe because it's a low-compression engine, and the turn-downs are short?
