Well I did it, got rid of the Bassani cat back system, and put on a custom system with a Bullet muffler.
I went with a round 20" Muffler with a 2 1/2" tail pipe exiting in the stock location. Man feels like I have a new truck, all my low end power is back. It is quieter than the Bassani, but has a nice mellow rumble to it when you get on it.
Now when going up hills I can accelerate without downshifting, and off the line it really moves. Even with the A/C on it is peppier than it was before with the A/C turned off. Also it doesn't give you a headache when driving on the highway.
still have to update my sig, but will do that soon.

It has been a week since my install, and the computer has now just about fully adjusted to the new system(and yes I did disconect the battery)
My power is still all there, my gas millage has gone up about a mile per gallon.Maybee because I don't have to floor the throttle all the time when getting on the Highway.
After battling with Bassani for 6 months I called them, and told them I yanked there system off my truck. They told me they may look into designing a new system for the 4.6V8, and if they do willsend me a new system for free. If they do I will be selling it for cheep to anyone in my area.
