Post help or is it me

when i bought my truck. my first to get was the flowmaster 40 series(1 in and 1 out) muffler.i just replace the muffler and kept my stock pipes. its been a year know but know i wanted something louder so i got my freinds 40 series flowmaster (1 in and 2 out)but this time i just put turn downs. so theres allot more noise. but my question is my truck feels sluglish know could it be because of my new muffler setup it lose ing compresion .

Eddie 99,
I have that setup on my truck and really like it. What size tail pipes did you use? I went with 2.5" and mine runs great.

Cool

Your exhaust won't make you lose compression. I think you are thinking of backpressure. Less backpressure can reduce low end power. When this is the case high RPM flow usually increases due to the reduced backpressure. Going from the single to a dual outlet could have reduced your backpressure and low end "grunt". With trucks being so heavy, a loss in low end power and/or torque is noticed more than in a light passenger car.
