Cool ? about duals and computer

Good afternoon folks....I've just installed the flowmaster 40 series duals on my 4.2l and I am wondering if I should reset my computer to compensate for the change. I've seen threads here and there conerning resetting after the chip is installed but I'm curious as to whether the puter needs to be reset after an exhaust mofiication. Any help? Thanks for any input. Have a great day! Jim

It doesn't have to be reset, but if you do, it may help the computer to learn the mod faster. Just disconnet the neg battery cable, pull the headlight switch, and 15 minutes later, hook it back up.

Selva1, thanks for the info. Will it affect my odometer? I know it will drop all the presets on the radio but, will the odometer be back at 0? Please forgive the dumb questions, but I don't want to do anything without some good advice first. Thanks again. Jim

Don't worry, your odometer is safe. Believe me, if Ford left a loophole like that open, the used car salesmen would be in heaven.
