I just installed gibson split rear 2.5" and it sounds great not to loud but you know its there,I was ready to order some gibson 3" slashed tips for $29.95 each at truck performance, but when flipping through jcwhitney cat they have the borla turbo tips. They say it helps suck the air out and adds a little more performance. Anybody know if there's any truth to that and will they fit on the gibson 2.5" they are 2.5" to a 3' opening.

Granted, I'm not a pro gearhead. But I doubt an exhaust tip will add HP. My (take it or leave it) advice is go for the tip that looks best to you. Not the one claiming to gain HP. Just what I think

I gotta agree with 4byFord. Tips are purely cosmetic in my opinion. I think my 3.5"x8" Gibson tips look great (my opinion).

I have a Borla system with the "turbo" tip. I think what Borla was trying to do is create a low pressure zone which would create a vacuum and help ssuck out more exhaust. I'm sure something like this could work but how well???
2 1/2" should fit any 2 1/2"

 

I agree with four byford. If those tips add horsepower, I got a bug deflector that will give you 10% better gas mileage!

Hey, I have one of those bug deflectors that give you 10% more power, I also have a special billet grille that gives me 12% more power!! 15% more from my clear corner lights and I just ordered my Flux Capacitor and that should give me another 40% more power. Before you know it I will have the fastest F-150 in the world then I will be King of the World AH HA HA HA HA .... wha, oh! nurse Rachet, yes, yes ma'm I did take my medicine this morning ........

I was wondering if anyone has put on the Jardine exhaust tips? I just got their catalog and they have some great prices on their tips (Chrome/SS)and most of their tips are 11" long instead of most 8" tips.
