Post Which System gives the most added horse power?

I am interested in getting the most horse power out of my 5.4 2000 f150.
Which system will give me the most HP and torque?
I do care about great sound but HP/torque comes first.
What do you recommend??
Thanks,
Ahab

You're gonna get about a million different opinions on that.

I am gonna have to say the Gibson swept side for torque. I have the split-rear, though, and I love it. I have posted several time before about the split-rear exit. To sum those up (incase you have read them): I have noticed the performance advantage at highway speeds, but no loss whatsoever of low-end torque. I had a small gain in gas mileage, but not quite the 10% Gibson advertises. I love the sound-->smooth, not too loud inside the cab, but sounds really great when I step on it.

'97 F150 4x4 Off-Road Extended Cab Lariat Flareside white/tan, tan leather, 4.6, 3.55

Duraliner bedliner, Husky floormats, Custom seatcovers (I only cover the leather when I'm really dirty, though), Premier single-lid toolbox

Gibson 2.5" split-rear exit cat-back exhaust, K&N Air Filter

Many more modifications to come

Ive heard a few say the Jardine gives the most. One for example is Mike Troyer, and I can trust him on his words.

I heard Jardine, too. I have a Borla split rear. It may not be the best for torque, but I can chirp the tires shifting into second now. Also, for quality, it fits like a dream. All T304 stainless, too....

Thumbs up

Like Mike T. says Jardine will give you the most hp gain & torque!! I have a set of Jardine catback exhaust system on my truck and love it!! deep throaty sound even at idle but not overly loud, i specially like it when i get on it, then it really comes alive!! Good luck on which system you purchase, regardless of which exhaust system you pick, it will give your truck that nice rumble that you want to hear and add a quite few horses to your truck!! But if you really want a good increase in hp then i would highly suggest the "SUPERCHIP" to be the first mod you do on your truck!!

Future mods: Kenne Bell Supercharger,Superchip, HID headlight system, Alpine audio/Navigational System, 4.10 rear gears

Hey, well I also have the 5.4 Engine, and a slightly modified version of the Gisbon Super Truck side exit system... I have a Dual system with 2 mufflers and tips exiting out both the driver and passenger sides... The power increase is amazing... My truck halls ***... The torque is unbelievable... I really would recommend Doing the same to anyone... Good Luck... )Figures from before/after exhaust conversion...
1/4 mile: 14.7 @ 97.9mph before
1/4 mile: 14.4 @ 98.2mph after
loss of -.03 sec to 1/4 mile time...

Cool

Ron K,

You can inquire about Jardine exhaust systems through Jardine, their number is
909 371 1744, ask for John Brooks at ext. 234 or you can go to their website at www.jardineproducts.com, prices will vary but depending which dealer you go to. Jardine is located in Corona. Good luck to ya!!

Veloci,

I have no inside cab noise at cruising speed, but when i do get on it, the deep throaty sound that i hear inside the cab is music to my ears!! but its not to the point where its too loud. I paid $289.00 installed through ********, but that was 3.5 years ago!! I would call the above number i gave Ron K and call for the nearest dealer in your area. Hope this helps!!
