best place to get them is on ebay. Magnaflow has them for around 55 bucks a piece shipped, pretty good deal. For the 4.6 and 5.4, i believe the 2.5" inlet/outlet size will fit.

Question High Flow Cats - Error Code on 02 sensor

I took off the 4 standards and replaced them with the two high flow cats. Now I've got an error code that is showing up in my check engine light. My bro-inlaw is a manager at an Advance Auto and ran a error code check on mine. He says it's in the 02 sensors after the CATS. He says there is a 02 bypass sensor that can be plugged in to replace the standard 02 sensors that will correct this problem.

When I reprogram my HyperTech back to normal or just re-do it for power the error goes away for a few hours. Anyone got any ideas here????

thanks
JL

Can you just have sensor bungs welded-in behind the cats? It would likely be cheaper than any other solution.

I had my setup installed with the sensors in the factory locations, so I got no code...

Question

What are sensor bungs? Where do I get them and how do they work?

thanks,
JL

The bung is the threaded hole that the sensor screws into. Any muffler shop will have them, shouldn't cost more that a couple of buck each. You weld the bung into the pipe, then screw the sensor into the bung.

I have a 5.4L .... but this is the response I got back from a MagnaFlow Tech on the topic ...

Thanks for your contact. Yes, there are indeed 2 cats on each side. However, it is not legal to do a 2-for-1 switch. I don't know if you are concerned about that or not, but you may have trouble finding a shop willing to do that for you. As long as you are outside CA, the proper universal cats to use are our 91000-series up front (probably 91076), and the 94000-series in back (probably 94006). All of these are high-flow. Check out the link below to find a dealer in your area who can sell you the parts and install them for you. Thanks for your interest in Magnaflow.
