Post More Torque With Mufflers Or Glass Packs?

Ok I am probably going to get an exhaust on my truck tommorow. My truck is a 1993 F-150, 302, Flare Side.

I am leaving the catalytic convertor on. I have two options:

Option 1: Non-True Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series muffler on each side. And BORLA Tips.

Option 2: Non-True Dual Exhaust with glass pack on each side. And BORLA Tips.

Which one of these would be my best bet? Loudness is not really a huge concern. Which one will provide a more noticable power difference?

I have heard that mufflers will decrease HP but increase TORQUE. Is this true?

Thanks

I would stay clear of the glass packs. I have read that their perforated inner tubes actually create turbulance, therefore reducing flow. On the other hand, I wouldn't worry too much about loosing torque, as your cats will provide enough back pressure.

Good luck!

You could do what I did and not have any mufflers, I have this setup and absolutely love it!!!! I don't have to worry about the mufflers wearing out, and the cat quiets the exhuast well enough. And its cheaper!!
