Post Flowmaster 2 1/4 true duals -vs- gibson 3" single which is better?

I'm curious, my brother in law and I both have '97 ford x-cab 4X4's pretty much the same truck's except for color and mine has the off road pkg. I had my flowmasters' custom installed (true duals) 2 1/4" cut in front of the Y, two 2 pass flowmaster's angled out at a 45deg. in front of the rear bumper with the 3 1/2" x 18" BIG tips (sounds great) $400.00
His system is the gibson bolt on 3" system cut behind the Y single all the way back, decent sound at low rpm. $285.00

Cool

Why don't you guys do your own comparison test? Track gas mileage over a couple tanks of gas, go check 1/4 mile times, race one another, and then post the results! A good first hand real-world test should prove interesting and valuable for all us confused folks searching for answers!
