Post Flowmaster Cat back

Hi guys and gals

I just got my cat back system done. I live in Colorado Springs ,CO. I called every muffler shop in town today and none of them stocked the flowmaster muffler. I found a shop in Castle Rock (40 miles north of me) that stocked the mufflers. I went up there and had it done, complete single in , dual out the side in front of rear tire, with 2 chome slash tips $178 out the door. The guy custom made the system in an hour. Looks great sounds great. I got excellent service and workmanship. Beats the hell out of the
mail order systems.

I think I did lose some low end, but it does sound really good, Its very reasonable in the cab as well. You can here it but its more of a low rumble. Its not much louder than stock at idle.

Does anyone know if a k&n filter charger will add any low end?

Darren Dude,
Do you by any chance know the Flowmaster part number of your muffler??? (I'm thinking about doing the same as you)

As to the K&N question... I noticed the most gain in the mid range of RPM's in both my '97 4.6 and now my '99 5.4...

I don't know the pt#, but it is a 40 series with a 3" inlet and (2) 2.5" outlets. Like I said earlier it sounds "Bad ***" but i think I lost a little low end.
