Forward Exit Side Exhaust

I will be doing my forward exit side exhaust soon with a Ravin Z33 muffler. The setup exits like the Ford Lightning.

The setup with be a 3 inch single entry with dual 2.5 inch exits. Using two tips.

What size tips do I need? How long? It would use 2.5 inch entry, 3.5 inch exit right? Can I use an exhaust tip that is 24" long or is that too long?

Here is a tip that I am considering. Made by Ractive, black chrome.

Does that sound like a good price?

Thanks for the help!

I used 3" tips on mine. Looks great. As close as they are together I think that is as large as i would go.

I wish I had pics.....I love the look.

I went down to the muffler shop and they had a set of 3.5 inch tips, held them up next to the truck and they looked great!

My concern is with the length of the tip and if I can fit a 24" tip under there with my setup.

How long are your tips???

i just bought these tips, but in the 18" length. let me advise you, the 18" ones were ALMOST too long to esit behind the rear tires! the installer had a hard time putting them in there and bendign the pipe. he actually said that if i wanted to go in front of the right rear tire (what you're talking about, because i was considering that) that i would have had to go with shorter tips than what i had. like 12" ones.

but let me say that the racive black chrome stainless tips looks AWESOME. espescially on a black truck

Does anyone know of a 18"x2.5"x3.5" tip in black chrome? I have searched everywhere and can only find a 24" or one with the outlet being 3" which I think is a bit to small for the look I am going for.

i have a set of 24" tips on my truck exitting before the rear wheels and going out at 90 degrees and it was tight but it worked fine, and i don't have a tube bender so i just had to work with 90 degree elbows to make everything fit but if i can do that my self a muffler shop should have no problem or you need to go somewhere else cause they must be idiots
