Cool Flowmaster SINGLE CHAMBER

Hey everybody. I've got a Flowmaster 3 chamber on my '97 5.4L. It has a good sound accelerating but too quiet at idle. Been reading the posts on the 40 series Flowmaster and its great sound. People still seem to want more sound at idle. Well, believe it or not, the single chamber Flowmaster may be the answer. My brother-in-law just stopped by and has one on a '98 4.6L. It sounded great! Very nice burble at idle, and good sound at acceleration. I always thought one of these would be way too loud, and have that cracking or popping sound when you let off after a good hit on the gas. But his sounded great. It was totally different than mine. I even have the dual outs at the bumper with the large chrome tips, and his was still the factory pipe out behind the rear tire. Anyone looking for an upgrade should check it out. Oh, he said the performance was noticeable. Said the drop in power at shifts was GONE. I wonder if running a true dual setup with 2 of these would make much difference on a Lightning?

should work, but i would keep the pipes small. i don't think they make those babies smaller than 2.5"; which would probably be too big for a 4.6. i'd prefer to keep the duals down to 2".
