Post Who makes the best exhaust systems performance-wise?

I was hoping someone could tell me which is better, regardless of price or sound, Borla or Flowmaster? Which of these makes the most HP?

Have you checked out Bassani exhaust yet?

They make some killer stuff.

I just put a complete system on my 93 Lightning, coated headers, cat pipe muffler with nas truck exit.

It sounds a awsome and went on easy.

I went with Flowmaster because I have heard (from several people) that pros use them. They don't care about sound or appearance, they just want power. Me too. Also, I was on Jeg's web page a while ago. They seem to push Dynomax online, but show more Flowmaster in their paper catalog. I went to the section that showed employee cars, most all had Flowmaster.

I just looked at the Jeg's webpage (http://www.jegs.com/), they show a lot more Flowmaster now.

Whichever, any aftermarket muffler is going to get you more power than the stock one.

Jason--
I checked Jardine's site and the only exhausts I saw were for motorcycles. The site was http://www.jardineproducts.com. Is there another?

Thanks,
Joe

I dont think anyone can scientifically and accurately state which is best. They all have different benefits and are more subject to personal preference.

Anyone who say's one is better than another is stating their own preference. I have seen dyno's that show Dynomax to have more torque increases, but that does not apply to every application. Does the vehicle have headers? If so, what kind? Does the vehicle have other aftermarkets that will enhance the exhaust mod? If so, what kind?

I see a lot of personal preferences passed off as doctrinal facts of being better when in reality "everyone" could be correct.

Just my perception.
