I installed the Magnaflow 3" single cat-back on my 04 FX4 5.4l this weekend and I'm in love with it! It has a very deep mellow tone, but is not loud enough to be irritating or attract the cops. It has that sound and feel that make you want to keep on driving from light to light to light and beyond. Awesome! Also very easy to install in about an hour. Loved it from the minute I started it up. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good sound without being the loudest thing on the road.

 

How is it at cruising speeds? I'm talking 60-80, or 1700 to 2200 rpm...

 

At 60-75 cruising on level you can't hear it. You really only hear it in the cab when you are accelerating, but then the sound is so mellow you like to hear it. I am over 50 and I don't like loud annoying sounds. This system is just perfect for me.

did you ran 3 in pipe back from the catalitic converters, or off the manifolds..?
