Best Exhaust setup for deep sound and power??

I would like to get some other opinions on exhaust for the 5.4, I was wondering what setup (mufflers, pipes, cats) would yield the deepest sound and most horsepower

Flowmaster 40 and Borla seems popular at this time for 5.4.

I heard that Flowmaster only flow 250 CFM approx... i dont know if its true or not..but it has some good rumble at idle and a bit loud than Borla...

YOMAN!

Very few muffler guys show their flow rates because they're so low. Look at this chart:
www.dynomax.com/ultrafloss.stm

In this chart, the number on the second row above each muffler is it's flow rate.
www.dynomax.com/documents/ultrafloss_specs.pdf

For extremely high flow rates, look at the flow rates in this chart; like the #17220 and #17221.

I'm gonna say Magnaflow. They sound great on every Ford product I've heard them on (Cobra's, GT's, Lightning's and a friends Screw). Well made, less expensive than Bassani, and much more of a throatier sound than Borla (which are a bit too quiet on our trucks in my opinion). Check around and see if you know of anyone with Magnaflow's on their Ford truck. You'll see what I mean.

The Dynomax Race Bullet would be the loudest... its basically glasspack w/o louvers to disrupt the flow. I had one on my truck and it was LOUD! I had a Dynomax Ultraflow on my truck (Oval w/14" case) for a little while and it had a deep mellow tone but it wasn't very loud.

I have the Bullet on my truck. Its a little bit louder than the SIDO flowmaster that I used to have but I think it sounds good. You cant beat the price for a Bullet

Its a muffler made by Dynomax. Mine is just a single 3" turned down in front of the axle.

On my 2001 supercrew I went with the dual set from Summit racing Sounds good and the dual setup looks good.
