Shorty headers 4.6

I was thinking about getting some JBA headers for my truck (the ones Mike has on his website). BUt I was wondering if headers still leak as bad as they used to. I know on the old chevy trucks headers just leak....there nothing to really do about it its just a fact. And i am not really thrilled about that. But i thought maybe they build them a little better than they used to. I am looking for a little more performance and i think i may get them and the magnaflow high flow cats. Anyone done this??? I am especially curious about the headers and if they are prone to leaks. Thanks

Aftermarket headers are prone to leaking more than the factory exhaust manifolds. Using quality gaskets and stage 8 bolts will keep it to a minimum.

Thanks Max... I will keep them in mind. I am looking for a little more trailering ability i am thinking headers and cats may be the best answer.

I just ordered Percy's "dead soft" aluminum header gaskets from Jeg's mailorder. They supposedly will not leak, are reusable and do not have to be retorqued like the fiber gaskets. This will be the first time I have tried these gaskets, I hope they work as good as they say they do.
