I've been thinking about an exhaust for my truck. I call a truck shop around here that said a whole new exhaust from the headers back is best. Than yesterday I went to anothere shop in a different town and they said no that a cat back is better cause of the new computerized stuff. What is yor opinoins?

 

are you looking for just sound, sound and some perfromance, just looks, budget unlimited?

easiest, swap out just the muffler, with something less restrictive, get one as loud, or a quiet as you want.

cat-back, sound and some performance gains depending on setup.

looks, split rear, custom done job.

performance, rip out everything, new headers, hi-flo cats, muffler, etc...

 

Just to help you out a little: a true dual system will help the top end and maintaining a single (or single with dual exit) will help bottom and mid-range power.
