Converted Mustang driver

Hey everyone. I just traded in my 02 gt ( killed me to do it ) on a 4.6l 04f150. I had dual flows on my stang and it sounded great. Question is...if i just put one flow on this exhaust instead of dualing it out..will i be dissapointed?

it won't sound the same and of course it won't be as loud because your thinking of running one pipe. but it will sound better then stock.

you'll have to decide which muffler system to go with and how much noise you want in the cab. otherwise i would think you'll have to go with the duals or even SI/DO to get that more aggressive sound that your mustang had. remember also your 'stang had factory headers and true duals front to back.

If your really looking to resemble your mustang you need to run true dual cat-back system, so i'm guessing you will have to get a nice set of headers and either a new cat pipe or the existing one, and run a pair of 2chamber flowmasters, one chambers if you want a real load deep rumble, if you just run a single stock pipe back and dont change the cat pipe or the headers, get a flowmaster with a single inlet, dual outlet so you can have (fake) dual exhaust, or just get a single inlet single outlet flowmaster, i have one 2chamber flow and it sounds great but if you want something really loud get a single chamber

Thanks for the responses. I figured i would really need to run a true dual but figured i would ask anyways. I figure exhaust will be my last mod, seeing as how the factory rims blow ( ford should be like dodge and give ya 20's ) and the audio is pitiful. I will say this though..i have owned 5 vehicles and all have been Fords..but getting rid of my 02 gt was the hardest one to part with.

Ha! I traded in my 03 Cobra for my 04 F150 FX4 SC

I got the audiophile system with the subs under the back seat. Doesnt sound bad.

But I havent roasted any tires in like 2 months

I'm saving for the next generation Cobra though. This will be my tow vehicle when it comes in.

I love this truck though!

I had my local exhaust shop install true duals on mine with two chamber Flows. They cut the 'Y' off of the Y pipe and ran parallel pipes down the passenger's side. The mufflers are sitting upright...not flat and are under the bed. One pipe goes straight back, and the other crosses over in front of the spare tire. The sound is perfect...not too loud unless I jump on it. It's deeper and throatier (sp?) than a Mustang, but nice and mellow at highway speeds. It sounds so good that I've hardly used my stereo in three years.
