Question expy dual exhaust

i was just wondering, is it possible to put dual exhausts on a '00 expedition 4x4 w/o air ride? i don't want to run it all the way back or put mufflers on, just duals after the cats and dump it at the rear end. any help or sugestions would be appreciated. thanks

This can be done, but a few things to keep in mind.
1. it sounds like you are looking at duals, without mufflers, but you should still have a X pipe in there.
2. You need to watch the route taken with the pipes, as not to create an exhaust gas flow problem from a bad bend in the system.
3. This one I am not sure of, but keeping the pipes equal length or close to it, again with the exhaust gas flow.

I have duals on my 01 4x2 SCrew to the dump in front of the wheel, and it works great ( bit loud at the moment, but I got a new muffler to fix that ).
Took out the stock Y-pipe, and put in an X pipe to dual SI/So mufflers.

Good luck
