Exhaust advice please :)

Just for a 1999 F-150 SCab 34k miles with the 5.4 Triton V8 and I was reading some information on different exhausts.

Seems most people here recomend the Magna flow set up and I just had a couple questions.

First was, what is cat back? and is that the right one for my truck?

second was if I go with this set up do I need to get headers or will the original exhaust manifold work with them?

also anything else I should know about this add on? like what else I will need to get if I go with it etc? Just trying to get an idea on cost etc.

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

Cat back means from the catalytic converter back. Most of these are kits made for the particular truck and are straight bolt ons.

go to the full line exhaust website www.fle-online.com to get pricing. You can go to maganflow's website for info and sound files to listen to.

Sean-

Crawl under your truck and look where each side of your engine's exhaust come together into one pipe. Just behind this area is a clamp that holds 2 sections of pipe together. The cat back systems start there and replace everything rearward.

You do not mess with the exhaust manifolds, catalytic convertors, or piping forward of this joint.
