which exhaust system is best? (cat back)

I have a 2002 f150 4X4 supercab with the 5.4 auto. I was wondering what is the best exhaust system to boost performance for not alot of money. I want to boost power (mainly for towing) and gas milage if possibe.

I was looking at the Gibson Single pipe as a good idea for towing.

Is this a recomended system?

How much increased power and gas milage do you get?

thanks

they seem kinda expensive for a 11hp gain dont you think? Do they do better then the Gibson flowmaster etc. as far as power goes? What are your feelings on this? Thats what it says anyway. I see them for $566. Are they cheaper anywhere?

The #15609 single 3" system is all stainless steel and can be had for under $400 shipped. Call Performance Peddler at 1-866-399-4215.

Yea P they can be had at a reasonable price. $566. is defiantly the high end; but if Magnaflow sold them cheap, it would put all the other performance parts stores at such a disadvantage price wise, that they probably wouldn’t carry their product. Just shop around and maybe give APT’s number a call, that sounds like a sweet price. The Magnaflow web sight I posted was just for your reference, so you could see what they offer and what their product claims are.

There was a time when it was $287 shipped from Full Line Exhaust. I really kick myself for not buying then.

Will the 15609 fit a S-crew too?

Performance Peddler lists it on their site for $437.96.

Yes, #15609 and the 15749 both fit Screws. Calling Performance Peddler should get a better price than their web site.

Hey Kooter29, that’s all I did too. Got a 4”x 9” oval with a 14” body and 2 ˝” inlet/outlet and put it on. I didn’t go with a tip, just kept the stock look.
