Question MagnaFlow Muffler for 2004

Which Magnaflow muffler do i need for a 2004 F-150? Do I need an Oval or Round? Also, do i need Center/offset or what?? Please help me make my truck sound better than my buddies 04 Dodge Ram Quad. Any replies greatly appreciated.

Talking Magnaflow 15821

Don't know if you just want a muffler or a catback. I just installed the 15821 catback and am very happy with it. My 2004 F-150 Supercab w/8' bed is a LONG truck and I was concerned if the 15821 would fit. I bought it through Troyer Performance and they assured me even though Magnaflow did not list my model with the long bed on their site it would fit. It sure does.

The sound is nice and throaty and can roar very well when your on the throttle but does not "droan" when your cruising.

The 15821 comes in four sections. A front pipe that slides into your rear cat tube at 2 1/2 inches and takes it to three inches. Then the muffler, an oval with center on one end and offset on the other end, and out at 3 inches over the differential where it joins the last section to the end where it terminates in a 4 inch tip. All fits nice and exact into the original hanger rubber mounts and the clamps are eom.

It took me about 15 minutes to remove the original muffler and pipes, all in one unit, then about another 20 minutes to install the 15821.

I guarantee you will probably sound much better than you buddy!
or really much better than you do now.

Thanks for the reply. That looks like the way i'm gonna go. I've read alot of good things about the Magnaflow Cat back. Is it the stainless steel or aluminized??

I recently had an aluminized Magnaflow muffler installed on my 04 Screw. It was part #11236 and you can check them out on this web sight http://www.fle-online.com/index.htm

A two foot piece of pipe was added to make up the difference in the length from the stock muffler. It cost me a little over a $100 bucks (muffler & installation) at my local muffler shop. I’m very happy how it sounds, a good V8 rumble when you start up, and it doesn’t drone when you’re cruising.

Cool

The one I installed is all stainless....

Amazing the size of the OEM muffler!

I stored all the original muffler/pipe (in one piece) in a storage shed at home. It takes up a lot of room.
